2001 New Beetle 1.8l Turbo

My own design and fabrication of a wing for this car when I was working for Racewerks Motorsports in Vernon, B.C.

first step removed old 3rd brake light and fabricated bolting bosses to attatch the wing using the factory brake light bolts/mounts.

step two mask and mold release the body and glass as this wing will attach to the actual back window as well

fiberglass the body and glass then fab the plugwing out of polyeurethane foam and glass over

a little bit of filler to smooth, note I used the original brakelight(flipped upside down)!

a little bit of black paint.........................and me'voila! das wingo

I made splitters for the front spoiler!

Then I made Carbon fiber door panels , and no they are not decals, molds were made from the original door tops and then vaccuum bagged carbon fiber door tops were made and they are HOT!

we installed KW lowering strut/springs/shocks all round and a set of Kahn Design 18" wheels!
